In everything we do, in our lives with people, our fortunes in the city in which we live.

Open your heart to listen to the many ways God meets us,

in a busy street, a forgotten corner, a back alley – the silent church.

Seeing big people, small ones, from here, from elsewhere, sometimes on the way to this place for a long time.

Seeing everything there is: good and evil, peace and fear, alienation, loneliness and pleasure.

Listen with heart and soul to the silence that – without words – can be a place for God who makes the heart glad.

In these days the city is the holy place where we want to meet God.

In the Krijtberg Church we offer a program for four days of reflection in silence. There are guided meditations on texts from Scripture. We are trying to become more familiar with God in His silent presence, but we also want to search for Him in the city.

We eat together in silence. Every day we celebrate the Eucharist. A conversation with a supervisor is possible every day.

The program runs every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you live elsewhere: you arrange your own accommodation.

You can choose from two periods: August 1 to 4, or August 8 to 11.

We ask for a contribution of €60 for participation, including meals and drinks.

After confirmation of participation, the amount must be paid in advance.

If you have participated before, you will be placed on a waiting list; newcomers take precedence.
