You want to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage in our church? Here’s the check list:
- You live in the center of Amsterdam (postal codes 1011-1018).
- You live outside the center but are a regular participant in our weekend Masses.
- At least one of you is Roman Catholic, baptized and confirmed.
- Neither of you has been married before.
- Your civil wedding will be held before your church wedding.
- You are willing and able to do a preparatory marriage course.
- You do not send your wedding planner to discuss matters, but come in person.
- You will collaborate willingly in doing the necessary church paper work.
- You accept our rules as to liturgy, live music, decorations, filming, and photographing.
If you do not belong to The Krijtberg community (no. 1-2), you may bring your own priest. In that case too, no. 3-9 still apply.
We charge € 800,- for the use of our church. This does not include the € 400,- stipend of the priest or other supplementary expenses, e.g. for music and flowers.
If you bring your own priest, we charge € 1.000,- for the use of the church. Your priest will then be responsible for the necessary church paper work and receive his stipend directly from you.
