The Fourth Sunday of Advent focuses our attention on Mary. Her “yes” made the Incarnation of God possible. Elisabeth, Mary’s cousin, herself pregnant with John the Baptist, praises Mary because she believed what the Lord told her. God was looking for a mother for his Son and Mary answered: “Here I am. Be it done unto me according to thy word. To do God’s will is asked of us. The question is whether we dare say after Mary: Here I am!
