Baptism of children
Through the sacrament of baptism, the child to be baptised will be adopted in the church of Christ, the people of God.

Marriage
Two people want to share their lives with each other out of love. In the presence of the community of faith, they express their solidarity with each other and with God. The preparation consists of a number of conversations with one of the priests. Take contact at least half a year before the actual wedding day.

First holy communion for children
Every year we start around October the preparation for the First Holy Communion for children from the age of 7. This is usually celebrated on Corpus Christi, the second Sunday after Pentecost.

Baptism and confirmation of adults
In the autumn we start the course for adults interested in joining the Catholic Church or deepening their Catholic. The sacraments of Baptism and confirmation are administered in the Easter Vigil. The course is not offered every year. The Church of Our Lady at Keizersgracht offers the Sycamore course in both English and Dutch.

Confirmation for teens & young adults
In January, the Krijtberg starts a confirmation preparation course in English for teens and young adults (16-24 years), with the Sacrament of Confirmation given on the Feast of Pentecost, 8 June 2025.

Funeral services
The Krijtberg offers the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of the sick , and is a place were Catholic funeral Masses take place. When a person is in a hospital, ask first the hospital chaplaincy (in Dutch: “Dienst Geestelijke Verzorging”).
