A couple of churches have been withdrawn from the service and were given another destination or have been demolished.<\/p><p>In the end, six church buildings remained in active service. Two churches \u2013 H. Nicholas and \u2018de Papegaai\u2019 \u2013 belong to the Inner City Parish, dedicated to the holy Nicholas, the city patron of seaport city Amsterdam. The four others \u2013 The \u2018Krijtberg\u2019, The \u2018Begijnhof\u2019, the \u2018Onze Lieve Vrouwe Kerk\u2019 and the \u2018Mozes en A\u00e4ronkerk\u2019 \u2013 are socalled rectory churches. This means that they have a high degree of independence in their organization and their available services in the parish.
