Collective Conscience

To give up the great comfort, that is not easy in a welfare state. Time and again, it asks for a discernment: what am I doing well, are my considerations pure? Do I share the worries of the world, even though I can’t take them on my back like a classic Atlas figure? But I do not stand on my own, I am part of that great whole and I am partly responsible for it. It’s a matter of conscience, or it has to be a matter of conscience. Collectively.
